Department of Primary Industries and Water
The Department of Primary Industries and Water (DPIW) is a Tasmanian Government Department responsible for the management of the State's land, water, and air. Specific services provided by the Department include the management of Tasmania's agriculture, fisheries and aquaculture, land and water resources, biodiversity conservation, Crown Land, and land title and valuations.
DPIW undertakes software development projects in-house and, as such, utilises contractors to provide assistance on a needs basis. Through successfully meeting the needs of DPIW, and providing skilled and efficient staff, Prologic has assisted in a number of development projects run by the Department.
Most recently, Prologic assisted in the establishment of the Tasmanian land titles management system (TasFol) used by the Titles Office to maintain title information, and the Valuation Information System of Tasmania (Vistas) used to manage property and valuation data.
"We had the services of an experienced Prologic contractor for the development of the TasFol and Vistas systems" says Anita Yan, Acting Director of Corporate Information Technology. "These have proven to be very successful. Prologic provides the additional analysis, design and development skills when required, and has been valuable in enabling us to achieve these successful outcomes. We are eager to maintain our long-term relationship with Prologic".

AutoRent Hertz
Prologic's working relationship with AutoRent Hertz began in the 1980s. At that point in time, vehicle rental and reservation procedures were performed manually throughout Australia. AutoRent Hertz recognised the opportunity to increase organisational efficiencies and employed the services of Prologic to automate these procedures, and integrate them with back-office accounting systems.
Prologic has since been providing software, web and IT consultancy services to AutoRent. Most recently, our web development team established the company's online rental booking site, and continues to provide ongoing support and maintenance services.
"Prologic's ability to analyse our needs, quickly, and to offer solutions, has been a key element to what we have and where we are, at a very reasonable price" says Terry Butcher of AutoRent. "I think the important, key element of our long involvement with Prologic has been the package of software/hardware/network/PC support/internet/website development and maintenance that makes them a one-stop shop."
