Support

The Prologic database support team has gained significant practical experience in major database applications and technologies, including Oracle, CA-Ingres and MS SQL Server.

In recent years this team has both developed and provided the on going support and maintenance for several large-scale business critical state government database systems.

In offering a managed support service, Prologic has put in place a dedicated support hotline, email groups and Help Desk that allow registration of issues, allocation and escalation of problems. We also provide statistical reporting on our performance against agreed targets.

Recent Project Summaries

Motor Accidents Insurance Board

Prologic designed and developed the Motor Accidents Claims System (MACS) for the Motor Accidents Insurance Board (MAIB). The development team accomplished this $1.4 million development project over eighteen months.

MACS incorporates many workflow management and business intelligence features, as well as advanced logic for functions such as fraud detection. The system was developed using object oriented design and programming techniques using Centura's Team Developer environment and Oracle.

Prologic is currently engaged in a three year support contract to provide a managed priority support escalation service for this mission critical system; this support includes the provision of a disaster recovery site in Prologic's Launceston office.

Autorent Hertz

Prologic provides long term support and development services for AutoRent, the Tasmanian Hertz franchisee, encompassing their Vehicle Reservation System, website, and Finance System.

Prologic's support relationship with AutoRent spans nearly two decades, and has involved the initial design and development of systems through to ongoing change requirements, maintenance and general support.

These systems have great flexibility of design, which allows them to adapt to high levels of change in the dynamic reservation industry. Critical response times, backed by technical pragmatism, have seen these solutions develop into highly robust systems offering great efficiencies for the client.
